Dr. Afanador brings over 10 years of experience in interventional radiology, with a career focused on minimally invasive, image-guided procedures across Latin America and the United States. As a founding partner of RIVBAQ, he has been instrumental in advancing interventional radiology standards in Colombia. He is an active member of the Asociación Colombiana de Radiología (ACR) and SERVEI – Sociedad Española de Radiología Vascular e Intervencionista, contributing to international best practices. In December 2020, Dr. Afanador joined a team of five expert interventional radiologists at Hospital Universidad del Norte, helping to launch their interventional radiology service offering angiography, embolization, dialysis access rescue, and more.
At EA GLOBAL RAD, he leads the medical team, implementing cutting-edge protocols and ensuring rapid, accurate, and secure reporting processes. His leadership focuses on optimizing operational costs and enhancing patient outcomes through innovative teleradiology services.
